Continued Vandalism in Locust Hill
I apologize, I have not been keeping up with posting incidents on this web site. Here is a list of incidents that have occured in the Locust Hill Neighborhood over the past few weeks. Various Local LE agencies have been called for most of these incidents. Granted, these incidents are far less serious then those that had occured this past Summer and Fall.
Several of the witnesses to these incidents state that these vandals have been seen coming from the Tuscalwilla Neighborhood, not trying to point fingers just stating what I have been told by these witnesses.
Walkway Lights "Shot Out"
10/21/06 Turnberry Dr.
10/23/06 Sheriden Dr.
11/18/06 A board was layed accross the top of the fence to the top of the shed inside the water tower. It appeared to be acting as some type of make shift bridge. We do not know if this was an attempt to get into or out of the fenced in area, but it looked very suspicious.
12/1/06 The lock to the chain around the fence to the water tower was broken. It appears that someone possibly used a crowbar or some other tool to force the padlock open.
11/12/06 Next to the group pf mailboxes on St. Andrews Dr., the wooden water cooler box on the golf course was knocked over and broken into several pieces.
11/12/06 The porta-potty just off of Oakmont Dr. near the entrance of the neighborhood was knocked over.
11/18/06 At 2200 a flag from the golf course was thrown onto a second story deck landing just short of a set of glass doors. Sheriff's Dept was called, State Police responded. Brookline Dr.
11/24/06 The wooden water cooler off of Oakmont Dr. was knocked over and appeared to be broken. 6-8 juveniles were seen running in that direction they ran accross Bay Ct. cutting accross yards, accross Oakmont and onto the Golf Course where the damage occured.
11/25/06 A pie thrown on parked car. The pie appears to be one from the Track. Greenbriar

Locust Hill Neighborhood Watch UPDATE
Posted November 16th, 2006 by RickSI wanted to share with everyone the progress that the Locust Hill Neighborhood Watch Program has made over the past several weeks.
Our Home Owners Association has supported the developement of the NWP and has officially designated the Watch a committee within the community. Now that we are sanctioned, we are granted seed money in order to make the initial purchases of equipment in order to get us started. The Watch Program is also given a budget for the upcoming year.
Vandalism in Locust Hill Community
This is a report that was placed on our community web site. I spoke with the man who wrote it and thought it would be worth while to share.
I observed 4 teenage boys passing through the townhouse complex Friday November 10th around 6:30. One rang my door bell and ran. This one dropped his blue toboggan just outside my door. I followed at a distance and observed one light haired boy throwing pieces of masonry at lights in the undeveloped area of the townhouse development. Some lenses are broken out. I took note that part of a retaining wall at a culvert where they took cover from me in the dark was knocked over as well. I fixed it back myself the next day. I called the police, but I lost track of them in Tuscawilla Hills SD.
Suspicious Vehicle (Locust Hills)
A white Jeep cherokee early 90's model drove through our neighborhood at approx. 11:30. The Jeep was heading down Turnberry Dr. at a high rate of speed. When my wife and neighborhood walked toward the street, the driver turned off its headlights preventing the tag from being seen. The Jeep then made a right onto Oakmont Dr. and headed towards Summit Pt. Rd. Several minutes later the same Jeep made a left from Oakmost back onto Turnberry Dr., where it was originallt spotted, again speeding by. I was able to get a tag number and address for the vehicle. The incident was phoned into the Sheriffs Dept.
Locust Hills Neighborhood Watch Committee
Posted October 11th, 2006 by RickSAt the most recent HOA meeting for the Locust Hills Subdivision, a committee was assigned to start a Neighborhood Watch program for our neighborhood. I will be heading up this committee and look forward to sharing with you.
Just from reading posts and reports on this site, it is obvious that most of us are experienceing many of the same crimes. We could use some ideas and advice from those of you who are already involved in various watch programs. I look forward to getting more familiar with the site. Thanks for the opportunity to become a member.
