Watch Jefferson County

I wanted to share with everyone the progress that the Locust Hill Neighborhood Watch Program has made over the past several weeks.

Our Home Owners Association has supported the developement of the NWP and has officially designated the Watch a committee within the community. Now that we are sanctioned, we are granted seed money in order to make the initial purchases of equipment in order to get us started. The Watch Program is also given a budget for the upcoming year.

We have just finished our draft of the policies and procedures (Thanks to Ron from SSP for his ideas) and mission statement. We finished outlining our communications model and defined our roles/positions within the Watch Group. We currently have 62 individuals who signed up to volunteer.

This site and the people on it have been a tremendous help in guiding us through the process of setting up our watch program.
