The Shack, is a teen club that meets at St. Andrew's Mountain Community Center at the intersection of Route 9 and Mission Road. The Shack is sponsored by St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and FOCUS.

The last Friday of every month we have an event. We book four bands to listen and dance to. There is also an open mic so youth can perform, play or slam down poetry. The hours are from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Admission is $3.00 per youth. Snacks in the form of bottled water and chips are sold for $1.00 each. The money earned from admissions and snack sales are used to support this teen club, and coming in the summer of 2007 a teen center.

The Shack has a zero tolerance policy regarding drugs, alcohol, tobacco, violence and weapons. If any of these are your bag, don't come. If you want a place where you can come and enjoy listening to good bands, dance (no violent moshing allowed), socialize and have a great time, please come check us out, I guarantee you will have a great time. The rules for The Shack are as follows:

(Please read and follow. If you are asked to leave an event, you may not be admitted to another event at the discretion of the Youth Council and Directors.)

• No Disrespect.
• No talking about anyone else - youth and adults.
• No throwing water or food.
• Clean up after yourself.
• Respect property, including the Mountain Community Center, the property of FOCUS, the bands and individuals.
• Listen to staff (youth and adults).
• No physical violence or weaponry.
• No violent mashing.
• No drugs, alcohol, or smoking inside or anywhere on the premises period (youth or adults).
• Once you pay admission and enter the event, you may not leave and re-enter the event.

We would like to invite parents and other adult members of our community to assist us by chaperoning these events. Without your presence and support, these events would not be possible.
