NWS Flooding Alert

The National Weather Service has just posted a Small Stream Flood Alert for Jefferson County which will remain in effect until 1800 hours today, April 15.

Due to significant over night rainfall and expected significant rainfall this afternoon, the NWS is predicting the possibility of small stream flooding in the area. Take precautions if you reside near a small stream. Never drive through submerged areas or through running water.

High Wind Alert

The NWS has just added a High Wind Alert. Winds of 20 to 35 mph are expected tonight and tomorrow, with some wind gusts exceeding 50 mph. Take precautions to reduce property damage due to moving objects and possible downed trees.
