Months after the new E-911 addressing plan went into effect, many of us still do not have our street address numbers posted on our properties in accordance with the directions officially provided to us!

Why does this matter??? Simply because Emergency Responders (Law Enforcement, Fireboard, and Ambulance Service alike) cannot find you in a timely manner when you have an emergency if they cannot locate your residence!!!

Many homes in our area do not have their house numbers posted well enough to see them even in broad daylight, let alone at night or in inclement weather. Please help Jefferson County Emergency Services do their job - i.e., perhaps saving YOUR life or property by prominently posting your house number.
